Not sure about you, but now that Labor Day is just a couple of days away, I’m starting to get pretty sad about summer ending. I suppose you can take the girl out of Florida, but you can never take Florida out of the girl.
It’s not that I don’t like other seasons, but I’m not like all of the other Midwesterners who live and die for fall. All year, I long for the sunny days of summer with extended sunlight, and have this thing where I refuse to complain about the heat – no matter how sweaty it might get. Maybe it’s because I know winter is coming (nerdy Game of Thrones reference), and I know what we unfortunately have to look forward to.
Until then, I’ll continue living it up in these amazing Rag & Bone white jeans (did I mention they’re on sale?!) and off-the-shoulder everything. These jeans are meant to be cropped, but when you’re 5’0″ they just so happen to fit perfectly as pants! Not gonna lie, but I may sneak these pants in from time to time, even after Labor Day. They’d look great with a light sweater, and in my opinion, rules were meant to be broken. Oh, and if you’re looking for a great off-the-shoulder top to soak up the last few days of summer, this one from Madewell is on sale. It’s great for petite gals cause it’s a bit shorter in length.
Also, I’m pretty sure I’ve been wearing these sandals daily. They’re just so comfortable and cute, I can’t NOT wear them. I’m looking forward to testing them out in Italy this week! That’s right, I’m going to Italy! Can’t wait to share some amazing posts when I get back.
Until then, I’ll leave you with this lovely shot I took before the Billy Joel concert at Wrigley last week that my amazing boyfriend took me to for my birthday present (back in February!). I have wanted to see Billy Joel my whole life, and let me tell you, he did not disappoint! He played all of my faves, including Vienna and Scenes From an Italian Restaurant. If you ever have a chance to see him, or hell, if you have a chance to just go to a concert at Wrigley Field, definitely do it! It’s an amazing experience and likely one of the best concerts and venues I’ve ever been to.
Have a lovely Labor Day weekend and see you when I get back from Italy. Ciao ciao!
