It’s back/leopard obsession

I can’t contain my excitement anymore… Zara is back! For the past 3.5 years, I’ve worked within walking distance of Zara. Even better (or worse, depending on who you are and how you look at it), I typically HAD to (yes, had to) walk by Zara on my way home from work. Good day? Celebrate with something new from Zara! Bad day? Find solace in something new at Zara!  It’s really a win-win situation.

But, to my dismay, Zara at Block 37 in downtown Chicago shut down last summer I believe and said put up a sign saying they’d be back at double the size in Fall 2o16. That was over a year ago. I have walked by the location, not by choice might I add, every morning and every evening on my commute wondering when Zara wold reopen. The only thing this break was good for was my bank account since I used to pop in at least once a week.

I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when Zara reopened a couple of weeks ago. But like any girl who has been disappointed in a former relationship, I made Zara wait for my to return to the affordable, trendy fashion mecca. However, after a long day at work the other day, I somehow found my way back in on my last minute attempt to take the pedway home.

Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. I saw so many cute things, including these dresses & tops I didn’t have time to try on (if you do, let me know!).

If you can’t tell, I’m really into the flounce hem/wide ruffle. Also, really love the lace detailing on the back of this blouse, and digging the simplicity of the way they styled the shirt dress w/ some snazzy booties.

However, I did have time to quickly grab this cardigan and and leopard scarf (pictured below and above!) while passing through. While I already have a few, I’m kinda like the Goldilocks of leopard scarves – one is too heavy, one is too light, but this one is juuuust right.

Also, one of my fave pairs of jeans I wear on the reg are from Zara:

They’re meant to be cropped, but fit my petite self like regular jeans 🙂 They’re perfect and the holes hit me just around the knees! Also, can you tell I have an unhealthy obsession with the leopard print? haha Can’t stop/won’t stop!

Now that Zara’s back up and running, I’m going to need exercise some restraint, otherwise, I might fall back into the old pattern of our weekly dates. 😉
